Being Called

Photo free from Wix I pulled into my driveway and parked the car outside the garage. I had a lot of things to unload. My eyes kept straying to the bucket we have under the downspout. It had rained the night before, but my husband had emptied the bucket before going to work. I opened the trunk and started to reach in, but, once again my eyes strayed to the bucket. I sighed and walked over to where the bucket sat and looked in. Floating in the three inches of water at the bottom of the smooth-sided bucket was a small peeper. I tipped the bucket over and dumped out this small amphibian. The peeper sat on the driveway for a couple of minutes before disappearing into the lawn. How did I know
