Reiki is a word many have heard of by now, but that was not always the case. Even today some people feel the word Reiki sounds like some new age weird energy work, but it is an energetic healing and balancing that has been around since 1922 when Mikao Usui created this technique. Today, Reiki use can be found in hospitals, treatment centers, and in private energetic businesses.
Reiki is a way to energetically balance the energy centers in the body known as chakras. Where does the psychic part come in? Anyone has the ability to perform Reiki. A teacher can help a person learn how to do so using various techniques and channeling earth rather than personal energy. While we all have the ability to be psychic, very few people acknowledge this part of themselves. How do you know if you are able to do so?
Lisa Campion addresses the fundamentals of Reiki as well as how to know and access your own psychic gifts. Perhaps you have always had a strong “gut feeling” or intuition? These are forms of psychic ability. She also addresses some of the misconceptions of what it means to be psychic. While there are charlatans out there, there are also genuine people who can do so much and are good people.
This book goes into the different levels of Reiki that can be learned and has pictures to show what some of the hand positions look like. Stories of Reiki experiences demonstrate how people have benefited or perceived their experience.
If you have heard of Reiki and always wanted to know more but didn’t know who to ask, this is your book. It is well-written and a great primer. I will also fully admit that Lisa was my teacher and mentor a couple of decades ago. I am now happy to have students of my own.
